Scheduling

How do I Schedule a Service Call?

Scheduling service with Paul's Air F/X is simple. Call or text our office at 509-225-3420, or submit a service request through our website. Our team will gather information about your equipment and the issue you're experiencing, then coordinate an appointment based on technician availability and your location.

How soon can a technician come to my home or business?

Appointment availability varies depending on our current workload, your location, and the nature of the issue. We do our best to accommodate urgent heating and cooling problems while keeping scheduled appointments on track. Contact our office for current availability, and we'll work with you to find the earliest practical appointment.

Service Costs

How much does an HVAC service call cost?

Paul's Air F/X charges a standard service labor rate of $150 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. This includes the technician's time spent diagnosing and troubleshooting your equipment. Replacement parts, materials, and applicable travel charges are billed separately. We do not charge an additional flat-rate diagnostic fee.

Will I know the cost of repairs before work is performed?

Once our technician identifies the problem, we'll explain the findings, recommended repairs, and anticipated costs. Many common repairs can be completed during the initial appointment if parts are available. If additional work or special-order parts are required, we'll discuss the options and associated costs before proceeding.

Do you offer financing for HVAC repairs or equipment replacement?

Yes! Paul's Air F/X offers financing options for qualifying HVAC repairs and equipment replacements. Whether you're facing an unexpected repair or considering a complete system upgrade, financing can help make the expense more manageable. Financing is subject to credit approval and applicable program terms. Contact our office to discuss available options or visit our Financing page to learn more.

Repair and Replacement Parts

Can my HVAC system be repaired during the initial service visit?

Many common HVAC repairs can be completed during the initial appointment. Our technicians carry a selection of commonly used replacement parts and materials. However, specialized components or more extensive repairs may require additional parts and a return visit.

What happens if my equipment needs a part that isn't available?

Paul's Air F/X works with multiple suppliers to locate replacement parts for a wide variety of HVAC equipment. Some components may require special ordering directly from the manufacturer, which can result in extended lead times. We'll discuss availability, estimated costs, and repair options before ordering parts.

Can you repair older HVAC equipment?

Yes! We service heating and cooling equipment from all major manufacturers, including many older systems. Repair feasibility depends on equipment condition, safety, and replacement part availability. If a repair is no longer practical, we'll explain your options and can provide an estimate for equipment replacement.

Do you service HVAC equipment from all manufacturers?

Yes! While Paul's Air F/X is proud to be a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer, our service department works on heating and cooling equipment from all major manufacturers. Whether we installed your system or another contractor did, our technicians can troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of equipment.

What types of heating and cooling equipment do you service?

We service a broad range of residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC equipment, including gas furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, hydronic heating systems, rooftop units, unit heaters, chillers, ventilation systems, and mechanical controls.

Do you offer commercial and industrial HVAC service?

Absolutely. In addition to residential service, Paul's Air F/X provides troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. From small business HVAC equipment to larger mechanical systems, our team can help diagnose problems and develop practical repair solutions.

Custom Maintenance

How often should I have my HVAC system serviced?

We generally recommend professional HVAC maintenance twice per year: once before the cooling season and once before the heating season. Regular maintenance helps keep equipment operating efficiently, identifies potential problems before they become major repairs, and can help extend the life of your system. While maintenance cannot prevent every breakdown, it's one of the best ways to protect your investment.

What maintenance programs does Paul's Air F/X offer?

Our Express Home Comfort Agreement includes two scheduled maintenance visits each year—one for the heating season and one for the cooling season. The program covers routine equipment inspections, operating checks, and seasonal maintenance, helping identify developing problems and support reliable system performance.

Express members also receive a 10% discount on qualifying repairs and diagnostics when paid within 30 days. Contact our office or visit our Maintenance page for complete program details and pricing.

Repair or Replace?

How do I know whether I should repair or replace my HVAC system?

The decision depends on several factors, including your equipment's age, overall condition, repair costs, efficiency, and reliability. At Paul's Air F/X, our goal is to help you make an informed decision, not push unnecessary replacements. If your system can be repaired safely and economically, we'll explain your options. When replacement makes more sense, our installation department can provide recommendations and estimates.

Can Paul's Air F/X provide an estimate to replace my existing HVAC equipment?

Absolutely! Our installation department provides equipment replacement estimates for residential and commercial heating and cooling systems. We'll evaluate your existing equipment, discuss your comfort needs and budget, and recommend replacement options suited to your property.
